elephant

    Elephant are the largest mammals in the world.Although they  have huge bodies and great power,their movements are smooth and gentle.

     Newly born elephant usually have thick hair all over their body.When they grow up the hair becomes sparser.Adult elephant have almost no hair.

       A fimale elephant carries her unborn young for about 20 to 22 month.Within and hour of birth,the baby elephant can stand on its own feet.the baby elephant is usually about one meter high and weighs about one hundred kilograms.
